Hughes Construction did an excellent job fixing our crawl space and foundation problems at a fair price.  Tyler Hughes’s engineering background was evident, he was prompt in coming out to assess the project, based on our independent engineer’s report, and in submitting a proposal.  He and Gordon are extremely professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, versatile, and friendly.  They are certified to repair foundation problems.  Their attention to detail is impressive.  Now several weeks later-after a hard rain-our crawl space is dry, groundwater flows away from our foundation in one line, and our downspouts drain out in a second line under a new front sidewalk.  Our lawn, which they seeded, is growing nicely.  Hughes Construction is a fantastic company.

I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism of the entire Hughes Construction team.  The work that was performed was extensive and difficult and the team took great care during every step of this process which took approximately a week.  The team was there promptly every morning and worked diligently throughout the day.  Communication was excellent.  On days where we could not be there, we received a call detailing progress.  When we were there, the team was always available to answer our questions.  The work was performed to engineers design and in accordance with their detailed proposal.  It was a professional effort from beginning to end.  I would highly recommend Hughes Contruction.

I was impressed with Tyler Hughes from our first consultation.  He was highly knowledgeable and his engineering background put me at ease about such an extensive job.

The very first day, I knew I had made the right decision by choosing Hughes Construction Company.  Tyler, Trey and Gordon arrived with dump trucks, an equipment trailer and bob cat .  All pieces of equipment were spotless, like brand new.  I knew then, if they took such care of their own equipment, they would do the same with our home.

Our job took 2  1/2 weeks.  Each and every day they arrived promptly at 8 a.m., gave us daily updates and the site was cleaned up at the end of the day.

The very last work day was devoted to site cleanup, leveling the yard, seeding and putting down straw.  Now, 4 weeks later, the grass is back and you cannot tell our yard was excavated 6 feet down around 2 sides of the foundation, plus 2 new retaining walls.

Hughes Construction did a beautiful job, at a fair price and my husband and I would highly recommend them.  On a scale of 1 – 10 they are an 11.

We’ve used Hughes Construction for two separate projects on our Amberly Home. The first project was to stop water from entering our basement and to secure the back wall of our home. Additionally, we wanted a concrete patio of the back side of our home. Tyler Hughes and his crew made this process as painless as possible. We understood what to expect from one day to the next. Tyler and his workers were always on time, respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves! Our basement has been dry for 3 years and we no longer live in fear when the skies open up! The second project Tyler took over when our previous contractor was unable to finish the job. Tyler and his workers built a huge carport and again, completed the project on-time and the outcome far exceeded our expectations!

I hired Hughes Construction to install a concrete driveway. I think the best way to describe their work would be what every one of my neighbors said, “Wow, that was fast, your driveway looks great!” What they didn’t see was the amount of detail and coordination Tyler put into the work he installed. He had to have a city license, a city permit and a city inspection all lined up before he could pour concrete. He also had to survey the property, demo a fence, demo a curb, demo a sidewalk, move an air conditioner condensing unit (which he built a platform for and hung from my house) and haul away several yards of topsoil before he could even begin prepping for the concrete placement (which included compacting the sub-grade, installing edge forms, installing gravel sub base and then compacting the sub base). With all of that said, he showed up on a Wednesday and was done on Friday. so much for that project being a headache. No extra costs, no hidden fees, no surprises during construction, no waiting on a “piece or a part”. Just experience and hard work!…Would recommend for any project.

It went extremely well. This was a traumatic incident and once I finally got the plan and the work began, I felt like the whole job was in very capable hands. Tyler Hughes, the owner was on sight all but one day of the entire job. He and his crew are very professional and polite – which was great considering how long I had to live with them. Tyler is educated in his field, and his education and experience were apparent. The job took longer than originally anticipated because of a LOT of rainy weather, but they did everything they could to stay on my job until it was completed. They arrived promptly every day and worked hard while they were here. The job required a lot of coordination and was handled in a very orderly manner. This was an expensive job, but the price was fair for the work.

Tyler Hughes, the owner, was great to work with. He and his work crew are very knowledgeable and extremely professional. Fixing this problem was a major undertaking and Tyler and his crew did a wonderful job. They took photos before beginning and throughout the project. Afterwards, Tyler presented me with a DVD of those photos to show to any potential buyer of my home. Tyler continues to call and make sure that no additional problems have occurred. In addition to this work, I hired Hughes Construction to replace several of my windows. They did it with the same knowledgeable and professional manner that I’ve come to expect from Tyler and his crew.
