Hughes Construction was hired to install this engineered design for the home owner. We worked with Amvic for this particular project, a company based out of Canada that specializes in the production of foam concrete forms. We decided to assemble the forms in three phases because the shear wall extends nearly thirty feet high inside the structure. Once the footer was in place we began building the bottom section of our wall. Within these forms are slots to place all of your steel reinforcements. Once the basement wall was complete we began to work on the second floor wall and soon after the third. Throughout all three phases we enlisted the help of Buckeye Concrete Pumping and Ernst Concrete.
