Cracked Joist Repair
Structural concerns sometimes come to light at the worst possible time—right in the middle of a home sale.
In this case, a home inspection caught two horizontal cracks in floor joists near the center beam in the basement. The homeowner hired a structural engineer to evaluate the area and recommend a repair.
The engineer recommended installing two support columns beneath the beam to reinforce the joists and provide additional support where the cracks had formed.
Tight Timeline Before Closing
The repair needed to be completed before the home’s scheduled closing only 15 days from when the homeowner first contacted us. We reviewed the engineer’s stamped report and prepared a quote. Our crew scheduled the work and installed the two steel support columns a full week ahead of schedule.

Scheduling Interior Repairs During Winter
Our schedule operates on a first-come, first-served basis, especially during the busy season. However, interior repairs like this one can sometimes fit into the schedule during periods of bad weather when exterior work is not possible.
