Are epoxy injections for foundation cracks the right solution for your home?

Mother Nature has been bringing on the rain lately. If you are experiencing dampness in your basement it is best to address the problem sooner rather than wait.  Water infiltration can cause structural issues for the home as well as mold concerns for those living inside.

Epoxy Injections for Foundation Cracks

Hughes Construction was hired to seal this eight-foot foundation crack in Monfort Heights. We sealed the crack using injections.  Additionally, we sealed around the water line penetration to ensure no more seepage through the crack.

If you are experiencing water seepage in your basement, epoxy injections for foundation cracks may be the solution.   As we have previously posted there are different types of foundation cracks. The type and condition of the crack will dictate its repair. You should always have foundation cracks evaluated prior to implementing any correction.  Before hiring a contractor to inject any cracks, hire a structural engineer. This will help ensure any implemented correction is the appropriate fix for your foundation the first time around.
