Hughes Construction Company excavated along the rear stairwell and left side wall of the home down to the footer and sealed the exterior of the foundation with waterproofing material to facilitate drainage. New 4″ schedule 40 pipe was installed along the footer which was then connected to two window wells. This drainline was then connected to a new sump pump in the basement which discharges into an existing downspout line. Once drainage was fully installed the excavated area was then backfilled with 1″ drainage gravel and the remaining soil was replaced in compacted lifts to minimize settlement. Once all of our work was completed we finished the ground off with topsoil, grass seed, and straw.
