During a home inspection this home owner discovered their basement had been dug out improperly. This basement was previously a crawl space but was dug out to a deeper depth at a later date, leaving a large void between the half height block walls and the footer of the existing foundation. Hughes Construction was contracted to fill the void with lean fill to prevent further settlement.
