Hughes Construction Company was hired to remove a 23’x 24’ brick paver patio and replace it with a fiber reinforced concrete patio of the same size. The home owner also wanted us to remove a short brick wall containing some permanent flower pots and to investigate and remove an underground oil tank. Once the oil tank was excavated we realized that there was still some unused oil in the tank. Northern Hills Oil Company was hired to pump out and haul of the excess oil so
that we could successfully remove and properly dispose of the tank. Hughes Construction then filled the hole where the tank was in compacted lifts and spread gravel on the area where the new concrete patio would be poured. The pergola was constructed above the patio area using all pressure treated wood
with the wood being provided by McCabe Lumber. Once the pergola was constructed we poured the new fiber
reinforced, Class C concrete patio replacement. The concrete for the patio was provided by Central Ready Mix.
