Tired of Uncertainty? Build a Long-Term Career with Hughes Construction
If you’ve worked in construction or field service, you know the drill. One week you’re getting crushed with 60 hours, and the next, a seasonal slowdown leaves your paycheck looking light.
At Hughes Construction, we do things differently. We believe that hard work deserves stability, predictability, and a life outside the job.
We’re looking for Field Technicians to join our Cincinnati team. If you are at least 24 years old, have basic construction knowledge and a clean driving record, we’ll teach you the rest.
Here is what makes a career with us different from the average construction gig:
1. Reliable, Year-Round Paychecks (Weekly!)
We don’t do seasonal layoffs. Our business structure ensures consistent, year-round employment so you can actually plan your budget and your life. With competitive wages ranging from $20 to $35 an hour (plus performance bonuses), you get the financial stability you deserve, paid out every single week.
2. Home in Time for Dinner (Off by 4:00 PM)
Work-life balance shouldn’t be a myth in the trades. Our typical shift runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Aside from the rare Saturday with plenty of advance notice, your evenings and weekends belong to you, your family, and your friends. You’re usually wrapped up and heading home by 4:00 PM.
3. We Keep Your Daily Expenses Low
Starting a new field job shouldn’t mean spending hundreds on gear. We’ve got you covered:
-
Tools & Transport: You report to our local office, jump in a company vehicle, and use company-provided tools. No putting miles or wear-and-tear on your personal truck.
-
Gear: We provide your standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and company-issued work shirts and sweatshirts. All you need to bring is a solid pair of work boots.
4. Real Benefits & A Future
This isn’t just a temporary job; it’s a career path. We invest heavily in our crew from day one with:
-
Health & Time Off: Paid healthcare, Paid Time Off (PTO) that accrues over time, and 9 standard paid holidays (plus occasional bonus holidays).
-
Future Planning: A retirement savings plan to help you build long-term security.
-
On-the-Job Growth: You’ll get hands-on training from your first day. Because every project we tackle presents unique structural challenges, you’ll naturally learn multiple aspects of the industry and build a tailored career path.
What the Role Looks Like Day-to-Day:
As a Field Technician, you’ll be the backbone of our projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
-
Installing specialty building materials
-
Moving site materials and hand digging
-
Loading/unloading trucks and tools
-
Maintaining company trucks and keeping jobsites clean and safe
Ready to apply?
If you’re dependable, eager to learn, and ready for a construction career that actually respects your time and your hard work, we want to hear from you.
