Did this weeks storms leave you with water in your basement?
Many of us across the tri-state area endured some severe weather this week. In some areas this resulted in the dumping of large volumes of water in spots that were already saturated. Unfortunately this can result in the water finding its way inside. If these storms left you with basement leaks, then it may be time to have foundation issues addressed.
This first step to dealing with water infiltration is to contact a structural engineer. The engineer will determine the best course of action based on your home’s circumstances.
Many times the correction for basement leaks is a as simple as an injection. We inject foundation cracks with structural epoxy or urethane foam depending on the size and condition of the crack. These injections create a tight seal which keeps the water out. They can even shut down active leaks!!
