This Monfort Heights homeowner contacted Hughes Construction as a result of water seepage. Hughes Construction implemented corrections per the designing engineer of Buyers Protection Group to resolve the homeowners foundation issues. The following repairs were made as prescribed by the designing engineer:
On the interior of the home:
- installed 20 steel angles
- injected more than 60 lineal feet of foundation cracks with urethane foam
- replaced the existing sump pump and updated the sump pump pit
Additionally, on the exterior of the home we installed a drainage system. This system connected the downspouts and window wells to schedule 40 drain lines. These lines were daylighted to the street to carry the water collected away from the homes foundation. It is important to remember that rainwater should be carried away from the home’s foundation. Water that accumulates along your foundation has the potential to find its way inside.
